I tink the Gatti-Ward series came the closest in term of drama, the ebbs and flows and the sudden turns of events but then those two were not the best in their division and fighting in non-world championship bouts.

The Pacquiao-Cotto fight also came to mind and like in the Arguello-Pryor first fight, I am also quizzical about where Manny drew that almost super human energy which enabled him to sustain his drive from the opening bell until the fight stoppage in the last round while not suffering from fatigue and the effects of Cotto's own solid jabs and counters that busted one of his ears. At least in the first fight, Pryor showed signs of fatigue and wear and tear and even falling under the weight of Arguello's power punches in some instances. I remember many people questioning his then already amazing recuperative power. They suspected his corner giving him some magic potion. Later he admitted that he was hooked to cocaine.

Oh, I am just reminded of the Barrera-Morales fight series as well as the early Marquez-Vasquez series where the fighters were intent on destroying each other while fighting at tiring and trying pace as well as tempo round after round until the final bell or until one was so damaged he could not go on.

    1) Marvin Hagler VS Thomas Hearns

    2) Paul Williams VS Antonio Margarito

Those are the two other fights that come to mind that had intense action and a fast tempo.

Fudge that fight, i discredit it cuz everyone knows Pryor's bottle he dranked in the corner. Crushed asthma (steroid) pills.

Mosley's 2 wins over Delahoya have also been discredited in my book. Dudes know they can't win, don't fight or just fight and lose like a man.

Obviously my first thought would be Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo

Pawel Wolak vs Delvin Rodriguez 1. Definitey deserves to be mentioned. GREAT fight.

Berrera vs Morrales is another one

    Carbajal vs Chiquito....
