When do Japanese school children learn archaic forms of japanese?
I have been self-studying Japanese for almost 2 years now and I also love anime and One Piece is an example of my question. So for archaic forms of Japanese, I'm talking about the verb ~degozaru just for example, which is the apparent equivalent to ~desu. When do kids learn this? Just when do they learn when watching TV that ~degozaru means ~desu?
or any time the hear ~degozaru?

They don't learn such terms in school. They recognize the meaning by reading and watching manga/anime. For Japanese it is readily recognizable that '~deguzaru' is the same meaning of '~degozaimasu', which is not an archaic form.
Japanese high-school students learn classical but it is quite different from what you see in manga/anime.
