Is Nirvana the most overrated band ever?

Nirvana's alright. Overrated? Yeah, but not terrible or the most overrated ever. I liked them more when I was an angsty high schooler in the late 90's/early 00's... go figure.

No, because Nirvana is overrated while still being good. The most overrated bands ever would be bands that are considered to be good by a lot of people, but are really just outright bad. Pretty much the entire 80s glam scene was terrible, like Motley Crue and Def Leppard.

Seems cool to hate Nirvana these days - everyone's too cool for 'school' - So no, there's more overrated bands.

Not at all. They just got the most publicity being the "god fathers" of the grunge movement. They started a whole new generation.

They're definitely overrated, but so is every classic rock band. (Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, etc.)
