Anyone know this dessert ?

My mother used to make a dessert with cream and rennet and ,I don't remember what else. It had the texture of rice pudding and we put strawberry sauce over it. It had a mild but sweet flavor. I thought it was a German dish as that is where our family is from. We called it (don't know spelling) oo-STA-cokka..that is how it sounded. Thanks.

If you have any older relatives, perhaps one of them has the recipe or proper spelling.

Quark is a German Cheese that is made with rennet and quark is an ingredient in some German cakes and puddings. The only pudding I found is Quarkspeise.

This the recipe that goes with the above video

    Quarkspeise Mit Obst Recipe

    Ingredients:

    1 lb strawberries

    2 cups blueberries

4 cups quark cheese (or 2 speisequark of 200gr each if you're in Germany!)

    1/2 lime juice

    1 cup liquid cream

    4 tablespoons sugar

    2 tablespoons vanilla sugar

    Halved unsalted pistachios for decoration

    Directions:

Cut strawberries in 1/2 inch sizes. On a bowl, add cottage cheese, 3 teaspoons of sugar, vanilla sugar and 1 cup of liquid cream and mix it well with a mixer (on low). Add 1/2 lime juice and remaining 1 teaspoon of sugar and mix it. Add most of the strawberries and blueberries and mix. Place it on a serving bowl and decorate with a few remaining strawberries, blueberries and pistachio for decoration.
