It's a document that a contractor executes to release any right to lien a property. Widely used in commercial construction for progress payments. There are both "conditional" and "unconditional" lien releases.

probably...you didn't pay as promiced so they put the lien.....if payed they are supposed to remove the lien...so, maybe it stays there and wrecks you credit a few months longer

someone isn't paying the contractor so he put a lien on the house to get paid once he is paid he will release the lien
