  • Manager questioned my teenage daughter?

Last week and then again today (twice now) the manager of my apartment complex questioned my daughter concerning things were solely the business of the person who signed the lease which is me.

    My daughter is a minor.

It is my understanding that it is illegal for any landlord to talk or question of my leasing agreements or concerns with anyone else.

I also understand that it is illegal to ever question a minor.

Can anyone give me some insight as to whether my rights have been violated by the landlord/manager?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Trademark at state level?

By filing for a corporation in the state of California does this automatically 'Trademark' the business name with the Secretary of State so that no other entity can use the name or is there a separate filing to have business name / trademark security?

  • Concerning Guitar Amps and their design?

A). Are guitar amps made to accommodate electric guitars and acoustic guitars specifically?

B). When using pedals with an electric guitar is there a certain amp (Style) to use so that the amp settings can help or wont hinder the pedals effects?

C). Can anyone recommend an amp (The best kinds) that will accommodate both electric and acoustic or if this don't exist, an amp that will accommodate a guitar with pedal use?

  • Can a company be an 'S' corp for tax purposes outside of being a corporation?

The company is already an LLC registered with the state as sole proprietor, pass through-disregarded entity. (This means that it is not considered a 'C' corp nor an 'S' corp).

A).I have been told by a CPA that it is possible to file 'S' corp status only for tax purposes outside of being deemed a corporation (Form 2553 without filing f8832).

B). I have been told by another CPA that the IRS will not acknowledge this status at tax time if the company is not a corporation.

So my question is whether I can be an 'S' corp for tax purposes outside of being a corporation?

    Thanks in advance.

  • When someone is put as overseer in a position that they are not qualified nor certified for?

Is there a certain word, definition, or term for someone when they are put in a position as leader, spokesman, foreman, etc. in a skill or trade in which requires certification and the overseer has none? I feel that this is a great injustice but I know that this is not the correct way of saying so, any other opinions??? Thanks.

  • Is a Bluetooth 2.1 device compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 software?

I have Windows 7 Pro on a Lenovo Thinkpad E530. The Rocketfish 2.1 adapter requires Widcomm software and my Thinkpad requires Lenovo Bluetooth software. Does this sound like a conflict.

I get temporary connections (Sometimes it works well and I can even go into my connected phone through my computer icon) or partial connections (It allows my pc to make phone calls from my phone but will not allow file transfers from my phone to PC).

Has anyone had any experiences with this situation or have any good advice?

    Thanks in advance!
