After scanning files into a PDF or JPEG I am unable to move or delete them easily from the default folder. Why?

    Probably because the application that's doing the scanning is still open.

    When the application is still open that file gets mapped and can't be moved or deleted... copy may work.

    Just close the app and should work.

    They may still be marked as "in use" by the program that created them. Often you have to close the program before you can move or delete files created by it.
