Can i stop my marines corps enlistment process?
( I'm giving details on how things were going in the last two months. I'm gonna give you a little background story so you can get the hang of things a little bit. Sorry if it's to much )
To break it down let start by saying that i grduated highschool not long ago and i do want to join the marines and it's something am looking for towards my future. Two months I asked my cousin to help out in enlisting into the marines, he called his connections and hooked me up. So early September I walked into the marines office, I meet up with the recruiter ect ect... I take the practice test you're supposed to take and I failed it. ( don't judged me ) He tells me to run for 30 mins and practice for the test. I do what I was asked to do and I improved in everything. I can run 40 minutes now. I go back and I ifaled the test by 3-2 points. He tells me I've improved but I need to study a little more.
Now to start of let say that English is not my first language.
Anyways things have gotten hard in my house. I live in a poor ghetto community with a lot of violence In it. I'm trying to get out of the circle Im in. I got a sick mother and were 6 months behind rent + all the bills we owe. I got an inrresponsible father and I can't count on him in anything. I wanna leave calm and with no worries. I just doubt they would understand me and think am making up excuses not to join.
The main question here is can I stop my enlistment process? And continue it early next year??!?!

You can do what you want until yous sign on the dotted line, just talk to your recruiter and tell him your situation...having said that, you don't strike me as Marine Corps material...if you can't pass the asvab after 2 attempts I recommend you go army.

There is nothing to stop guy. You haven't joined yet,
This is like asking "I walked into Burger King and got an application yesterday. I haven't filled it out or turned it back in yet. Can I decide not to take a job at Burger King now?"

marines will set you straight and get your life together, if anything you should speed up the process. if you cant fix your problem while not enlisted, what makes you think suspending the process would make things any better? and if you cant pass that test after 2 attempts it may not be for you man best of luck.

just don't go back.
They are always looking for people to join.
You don't need connections

If you haven't signed any papers it means you are not enlisted, therefore there is no process to stop.

You can stop it anytime you want to prior
to Swearing in...
Your papers are probably in his Bottom Desk Draw...
as you are not qualified to enlist as yet...

Until you raise your right hand and swear an oath you can always back out.
