Simple computer help needed?

I've scanned an item into my computer.

I've placed it in documents. I have to upload it to someone. The question I have is that when I click on browse I select documents. Then the particular item. To me it looks like it's giving the hard drive location which of course can't be accessed by a 3rd party.

Am I doing this correctly or am I missing something?

Thanks John

Update:

Thanks V. Perkins for answering. I can't send an email. It has to be uploaded on their claim form.

My suggestion would be to just e-mail it to your contact. Depending on which e-mail app you use, start a new e-mail, click on the 'attach' symbol (usually a paper clip), and make your way to where you stored the scanned image. Select it and the mail app should attach it. Then address the e-mail as usual and give it a subject. Shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.
