I don't wear hats often but when a funeral procession passes by I turn my music down.

Certainly not if you are driving a car and, I would say no anyway. The world does not stop because someone died. People die every day. We all die. If you know the person, pay your respects at the funeral. If you do not know the person, being respectful is not interfering with the procession line.

Well, I tried tap dancing at funeral processions but the other bystanders kept slapping me in the back of the head. So nowadays I doff my cap and act like I care instead, and the fools leave me alone.

If I'm wearing a hat, I will remove it yes...even if I'm in my car and the procession passes me.

I respect death, not in particular the dead. so i would bow to death, not the dead.
