  • What's one band or artist that will always hold a special place in your heart, and why?

For me, it's the Jonas Brothers, because they were the first band (rather than an artist; that honor goes to Jesse McCartney) that I became obsessed with, and also because they were the band that really got me into music.

  • Are there any good, accurate, English-language websites for this?

I'm working on a slideshow showcasing different styles within the Goth subculture, and I thought it would be cool if one of the styles was that of the ancient Goths. I tried Wikipedia, but I couldn't find anything. Can any of you please help? My deadline is this weekend.

  • Are there any good English-language websites where I can get the true origins and influences of goth styles?

The reason why I ask is because I'm thinking of creating a slideshow that showcases, obviously, different styles within the subculture.

  • If you were forced to become a part of the endless hordes of the Undead that hasten to do my bidding...?

...would you bite my vampire left hand, thus becoming a vampire, my werewolf right hand, thus becoming a werewolf, my zombie right foot (I think you know what would happen by now), my demon left foot, or my ninja ghost bunny left cheek?

  • Um, why are you staring at me?

Have you never seen a female CasualGoth before?

  • What exactly is "Gothic Christianity?"?

The reason why I ask is because I was over in Polls & Surveys one day, taking a survey on my fellow Goths past and present (and I don't mean the ones that sacked Rome with their leader Alaric in 410), and one of the questions was "What religion(s) or lack thereof do you practice," and one of the answerers said "Gothic Christianity." If someone could explain to me what it is, I'd appreciate it.

  • Could someone please explain this to me?

Why are there a lot of Christians out there that believe that us goth people supposedly "hate" God? I've heard that multiple times from people, and in most cases, it is not true. I've seen many goths that are Christians (myself not included). I think it might be just because of the clothing we wear, but if I could get any additional insight, I would very much appreciate it.

And one more thing, if you planned on saying something like "Because you're all a bunch of freaks," please keep your opinion to yourself if that is the case.

  • Which do you celebrate?

Halloween, Samhain, the Day of the Dead, something else (please specify what) or nothing?

Blessed Samhain, if that's what you celebrate. ^_^

  • Survey for Goths past and present?

Please copy and paste the questions.

    1. How long were you/have you been a Goth for?

    2. What style(s) did you/do you wear?

    3. Did you/do you have a Goth name (please share if yes)?

    4. What types of music do you listen to? Please include 1 band/artist from each genre.

    5. Who are some of your all-time favorite artists?

    6. What religion(s) or lack thereof do you practice? (Optional)

    7. What do you think about emo and scene kids?

    8. What do you think about Goth people today?

    9. Where do you think the subculture is headed?

    10. If you watch "South Park," what do you think of the Goth kids?

    11. Any advice for BabyBats?

The reason for the last question is because I've taken one under my wing and I've run out of advice.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day/night to answer. I appreciate it! ^_^

  • Is Halloween celebrated in Finland?

If so, how big is it? Is it the same as it is here in America?

  • A Question For My Fellow Legend Of Zelda Fans?

Have you drawn a Triforce on your left hand or wrist for Zelda Pride Day, which just happens to be today? If not, allow me to recommend that you draw it using purple ink, because today is also Spirit Day.

  • Do you know what's wrong with my mouse?

I have a regular, plain old computer mouse. It is not wireless or anything fancy like that. The problem is, it doesn't move that far off to the left, and it has trouble moving to the right. I've tried feeling the ball on the bottom, but nothing feels different or strange.

  • I'm agnostic and I have a challenge for you?

This challenge is for everyone that is religious. What you have to do is tell me why I should convert to your religion WITHOUT quoting passages, verses, etc. from your religion's holy book, if it has one. When you are finished, tell me what religion you are.

  • Do 2 trillions make 1 sextillion?

I'm sorry if this question is stupid, but I saw in one of my online classes that the brightness of the sun is equal to "4 trillion trillion light bulbs."

  • When referring to today's Goth people, are you supposed to...?

...capitalize the G or leave it lowercase? Or is it just a matter of personal preference?

  • What style would you say I am?

I wear black band shirts (HIM, Serj Tankian, Apocalyptica and Avenged Sevenfold), black and blue jeans, and black and grey sweatpants. I will sometimes wear a black skirt if I feel like it.

I don't wear much jewelry, sometimes I'll wear a black ring or a grey glass bracelet, or maybe a choker that looks like a tattoo.

And as for makeup, I usually only wear black eyeliner.

  • Some help with an insult for my story?

OK, so, I'm writing a story, and in the first chapter (which is what I'm working on now), the main female character, who is a Celtic Faery (although her first name is Greek), is getting kidnapped and taken away to the castle of the Vampire King. There are two guys kidnapping her. One is an Angel, the other is a Shifter. My problem is, I need to find an insult that sounds refined (and is in the English language), but applies to both of them.

I've tried the word 'barbarian', and that doesn't work because the Angel is a really refined guy. I looked up the word 'miscreant', but that didn't work. I also looked up cretin, and that didn't work. So, if I could get some help, I'd really appreciate it.

  • What does the word "Amon" mean?

I'm asking this because I saw that word in the name of a quest in "LEGO Lord Of The Rings" for the Nintendo DS (the quest is called "The Skirmish At Amon Hen").
