Hello Sev and welcome back. The clip is way too long to view it all, however I do know a few things about the Samurai.

One thing that you may find interesting, is that when the Samurai faced the Mongols, they found their ways quite strange.

The Samurai expected more of one vs one sword duels each time, even in the battle field, like they were doing, like also the type of duels (those not in the battle field) to be found a few centuries back in Europe among gentlemen, rather than a total war, so they found it strange, that everyone was attacking randomly everyone.

It was interesting. But, the truth about Samurai combat is that you cannot directly apply it to today because we have guns, tanks, missles, bombs, grenades and land mines. We have guerilla warfare, suicide bombers, drones, and terrorists. We have religious fanatics and even corporations who build weapons of war. War is business. War is faith. War is more than honor these days.

His assertion about the expertise he thinks many people have in street fighting is off base in my opinion, along with the idea that MMA proves what works and what doesn't in a "real fight". MMA is close, but it is still not a real fight because in real fights, people jump in, the surface may not be conducive to ground grappling, people pull out knifes, guns or tasers, people are on drugs, you can get stomped or bumrushed, or you protect yourself well them bam, you are sued by your attacker.

This enterprising young samurai found work as a hair dressser after the wars were over.
