why don't you practice the original ways?
Like for example, don't wear any uniforms or belts, practice more a few forms and striking the makiwara, don't spar, or play any type of game, and check how some of the most well known practitioners of your style use to see it.?

Didn't most of the top well known martial artists that you are aware of, regardless of your style, combined longevity, with practicality, fitness e.t.c?

Do you take into consideration, how many times and when a movement is used, the sequence of movements if applicable some times, do you just take the movements and find practical applications, do you just stay mainly with what you were taught, do you apply also the concepts or principles of your art in finding practical applications, something in between or something different.?
