Two couples are friends. There is an attraction. Is the friendship over?

Everyone is married. One couple are in their 30s the other are in their 20s. The 20 year old man and 30 year old woman are the ones with the attraction. It seems to just be one day, after glaces were shared. After a talk, both have decided that attractions are normal but how you react to them is what is important. There are not a lot of glances or shared moments between the two, both have decided that regardless of attraction its not happening, they also both like each other for the people they are, not just in an attraction way. Even when they have time to be inappropriate they are not, they avoid the situation to ensure no one makes the wrong decision while not thinking clearly. Can this work? Or should a way to break up the friendships be created. Everyone gets along great and have their own friendship with each other.
