Hypothetically, say in the extremely unlikely event every NFL team finished 0-0-16. Who goes to the playoffs?

In fact they would all have the same point differential of zero so it would be the coin toss.

Only the first five (or six) tiebreakers would be useless. (Head to head, division record, common games record, conference record, strength of victory, and strength of schedule.)

The remaining six tiebreakers would still be of use.

These six,in order of use, are:

    1. Best combined ranking of conference teams for points scored and points against.

    2. Best combined ranking of all teams for points scored and points against.

    3. Total net points in common games

    4. Total net points in all games

    5. Total net touchdowns in all games

    6. Coin toss

Ties in the division would be broken first. Using the tiebreakers above, teams in each division would be ranked 1-4. All teams ranked #1 would be the division winners. These four teams would go through the tiebreakers again to determine who would be which top 4 seeds in the playoffs.

The wildcards would be the four #2 teams from each division going through the tie breaking process again. The winner would get the 5th seed. The #3 team from the same division of the team who got the 5th seed, would be placed in a tiebreaker with the other three #2 teams from the other divisions to determine the 6th seed.

They'd probably go to tie breakers which my guess would be total points scored against each team. After that maybe a coin toss?

they would first go to points scored , then a coin toss
