When are suggestions on User Voice deleted?

I recently posted to the Suggestion Board asking that they bring back the red dot that used to mark questions from people we have blocked. At the moment you cannot tell if a question is from someone you have blocked unless you open the question and hover the mouse over their avatar. If the word "unblock is seen, this means you have blocked them.

The suggestion vanished. I posted a follow up, asking why the suggestion had gone - and that was deleted as well.

I do not know if this is glitch or if someone has taken exception to the idea for some reason.

Whoever is in charge of software at YA is arrogantly determined that they know what's best for us. That might not matter, if that person had any taste or experience or brains. Unfortunately, the changes over recent months beyond any doubt that whoever is in charge at YA is an arrogant bullying idiot - or worse, charged with driving us all away.

  • The only things I've seen routinely deleted from the Y!A Sugguestion Board on UV are threads which have nothing to do with Yahoo Answers itself (e.g. threads which related to password issues or Y! Mail issues etc).

Perhaps it wasn't clear that you were talking about Yahoo Answers. I know what you mean by red dot but I guess it could be misconstrued if reading quickly.

Try posting again and explain first you would like to have a way of seeing if you have blocked the asker/answerer on a question on Y!A. Then go on to explain that in the old layout there used to be a red 'no entry' sign next to a profile on the question if you had blocked someone, and that you would appreciate the return of that
