how do you test people to figure out their intentions?

you hire a smart friend to do the job for you... lol wink wink or pull out ur bag of tricks and aim when they least expect it.. stalk them silently but very respectfully from a distance. take ur time....

well this is resolved but thought Id give you an answer anyway for reference lol I have a cautious approach in general when it comes to trusting ppl with anything important and really just take time to get to knw the person b4 I trust them with anything important its just how i am but if I trust someone and they give me a reason to question them its always for a reason I mostly just observe their behavior and can tell but what I have done is little things like ask them something I know the answer and sometimes u can see how a person will lie over something so small then u can tell how trustworthy they are not but its not often just more observations in general i do but sure have done it i feel bad after i do and feel i should not have to question someone u knw, but humans r humans and most will walk all over u for the sake of gain so u have to be careful, the second thing I have done and only done this once, there were so pretty crazy rumors going on about me long ago and thought who the hell would say something like that about me i mean if u must gossip about me say something true about me haha it was just wayyyyy off, i wanted to knw who it was so i took everyone i knw besides the super close ones i cant be so sneaky with ppl i care too much about anyways each of these ppl in general convo i slipped in a little story to, to see which was running their mouth about me and it worked, one story i made up about myself got back to me and since i gave each story to one person I knew where it came from and confronted them about it , later i told the other ppl what i did to them and none were mad at me still friends with them to this day but i still had to tell them I dnt like to keep things from friends or to do things like that but i needed to now who was the backstabber in the group. So strange approach but it worked lol

I know I test people but I cannot tell you how. And funny enough it's not a conscious choice.

Testing people backfires more often then not. You just come off as being the same manipulative person that your desperately trying to avoid. Just trust your instincts, that's what the little voice inside of you is.

Ask straight away "hey dude what's up?" smooth and painless (kinda) maybe not all that diplomatic but better than messing up people with mind or power games and if i really must test people I just act my normal crazy self if they can cope with it good otherwise tough

i don't test anyone actually.. but that might be because i have a virgo mars.

You don't have to test them, you can, but it's better to just pay attention to them.

You can only really pay attention when you understand how attention works and what it really is.
