Is it true that the only Congress power Barack Obama has now, after the recent mid-term elections, is a veto power?

Update:

I know it is an executive power, but it exercised over Congress so I am calling it a Congress power.

Your question is not properly worded since the President's veto power is not a congressional power.

If you are referring to the Democrats' power in Congress, remember that the Republicans set records for the use of the filibuster as a way to stop Democratic legislation. Democrats were paying attention.

No branch of government has power over any other. They are ALL equal. The president DOES NOT have power over Congress. He cannot LEGALLY change any law that Congress has passed. That is the reason people are enraged. Barack Obama has acted AS IF he had that power AND HE DOES NOT.

With a reasonable congress, votes don't always split exactly along party lines. Previous presidents have been able to get votes from both sides of the aisle, by showing individual representatives how a bill would benefit their constituents, for example, or by trading support for something they wanted. It's only recently that the Republicans have been more concerned with making this president fail instead of representing their people.

He didn't have any before so whats the difference, He will execute whatever power he does have. Did you think Obama did not anticipate this election being this way all that they have tried to do to stop everyone from voting. Hes too smart to be trapped like rats.

The veto isn't a congressional power.

Not quite - but the veto pen is mightier than many swords!

No, he has executive orders, pardon, and is still the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

He also has x-ray vision, heat vision, and the power of flight.
