UK visa office uses two coloured bags? Red and black. What do they signify?

Red is for non-immigrant visas (tourist, student, business visitor, etc) and black is for immigrant visas (spouse, fiance, investor, etc). They are processed differently so the bag determines which office they get sent to for processing
