why is everything on here american, and not the uk.?

The us and uk versions of Yahoo!Answers were merged some months ago. I'm still not sure if it was a good or a bad move.

I dont see any different as I mostly kept the filter set to "All English Questions" anyway. To me the English speaking people are as one.I try and answer the American,Australian,etc questions and hope I can make some kind of a contribution ?

I advise the asker to just go down the questions and answer what she can and pass by those she cant. Yahoo is not going to change it.

An American question can usually be answered by searching for the required information. That is why I am so high on the top 10 board.

the IT geeks on Yahoo have not got anything Right since thay cancelled the Green I used to like Country of Origin on questions

and the Choice Australia or everything or go to the UK Ireland Site Now just Yahoo USA

There are so many more of us in the USA then you in the UK. Do you think so little of the UK you don't even capitalize it.

I asked this frequently, bloody yanks have taken over. I complained to Yahoo and they do nothing.

More of them than us.....Often makes an interesting read as many seem to hate OBAMA,ISLAM etc...Funny people...Some of them need to realize is an INTERNATIONAL English language forum....GOD only knows why they merged us as ONLY share a language of sorts, but so LITTLE else...American cultural ignorance, I suppose....
