Is the Hunger Games a movie created by the Governement to make it seem like we have freedom?

What if the Hunger Games only became so popular because the government allowed it to do so. They want us to think we have life so good when in reality we are controlled completely by them and they show how extreme the government is in the movie when they are that extreme in real life? That's somethig to think about!

    This is the philosophy section.

Philosophers know there is no such thing as 'freedom', other than as a concept/feeling of the vain imagination, ego!

If you do not vainly imagine that you are, somehow, 'free' to implement your 'free-will' and make 'choices', you cannot be manipulated by perceived 'threats' to these 'beliefs'!

"There are two paths leading to oneness with the Tao.

The first in the path of acceptance.

    Affirm everyone and everything.

Freely extend your goodwill and virtue in every direction, regardless of circumstances.

Embrace all things as part of the Harmonious Oneness, and then you will begin to perceive it.

The second path is that of denial.

Recognize that everything you see and think is a falsehood, an illusion, a veil over the truth.

Peel all the veils away, and you will arrive at the Oneness.

Though these paths are entirely different, they will deliver you to the same place: spontaneous awareness of the Great Oneness." - Lao Tzu

First of all it was originally a book and no I don't think the Government allowed it to become popular to fool us into thinking we are free. Americans have a lot more freedoms than other countries, watch the news and you'll see many extreme cases of this. If the government wanted to fool us into thinking we have freedom it would focus more on showing how terrible other countries/organizations are, not making a book/movie
