Holy Spirit / Holy Ghost If you believe in it, what gives evidence that a person really has the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost?

Proof of the holy spirit is the fruits of the spirit that is produced by the person. A person who has the spirit will continuously produce good fruit. Someone who does not have the holy spirit will not produce good fruits but will produce bad fruits. A good person can not produce bag fruits. This is why Jesus told us we will know them by their fruits. Matthew 7:16

You can feel the prompting a and whispers of the Holy Spirit at times, but not at all times, or even most times. He is often silent. However, we know we have Him, not because we can feel Him, but because Jesus promised believers they would have Him. So the question is, what is the evidence that someone has truly repented and is saved? There is always a marked change in a persons life when they are saved. They desire to live their lives for God and seek Him out through study of the Bible and through fellowship with other believers. Practice of sin becomes the exception rather than the rule and should nearly always be accompanied by a sense of remorse and a desire to confess to and be forgiven by God. These are the signs you have truly been redeemed and so are garaunteed by Jesus to be in dwelt by the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 tells us, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the result of the Holy Spirit's presence in the life of a Christian.

Most Christians only received Jesus' "Comforter" ( of which is too easy to receive , and even easier to loose , or sin against ) because they were unwilling to do what is necessary to receive the true Holy Spirit of God , the Father , from whom Jesus was baptized with because he knew to be correctly baptized by some man who was as good as John The Baptist , and that Jesus was truly dedicated to doing only the Father's WILL .
Jesus wanted to give those who he felt compassion for to at least have something when he left them alone , so that hopefully they would obey it until they finally were willing to do as Jesus did .

I feel the Holy Spirit. But then I've exorcized demons and ..wow!!..do I know the difference! One time? Long ago now? I'd gotten INTO the computer?
Fixated, on a LOT? And all of a sudden? I noticed, the Holy Spirit wasn't around? Stark? Empty? I hadn't been caring for months! Uh, oh! I prayed! Instantly, the Holy Spirit was back. I learned.

The Holy Spirit/ Holy Ghost is the third person of the
Godhead. He is not an "it".
He is a life changer. He opens your eyes to the things of the
world that you used to do, that were not pleasing to God.
He opens the eyes of a believer to the hidden things of God.
Things you used to not understand become clear to you.
Your worldly walk and talk become different. He is that still
small voice inside that urges you in one direction or another.
If you have the ability to pray in tongues, He prays to God on
your behalf, in an unknown tongue that only He and God know.
