Urgent help PCOS and metformin?

hello basically I'm 16 and I have pcos which I was diagnosed about 3-4 weeks ago by my doctor, who then referred me to endocrinologist who then said he will put me on birth control but when I next went in (which was yesterday) another endocrinologist said no I'll put you on metformin to try. I started one 500mg metformin tablet yesterday and I do this for a month and possibly will see some changes?. Anyway I haven't ever had a period in my life but I'm 16 so he said it may be a delayed period so just wondering will metformin make me have a real period? Also I have large muscles will that go down with these tablets? If you have pcos aswell could I email you a few questions?. Thank you for your help

Well I am not suffering from PCOS. Actually metformin decreases insulin resistance in women with PCOS that result in ovulation that means resumption of menstruation. Metformin will make you have real periods. You should take metfotmin.

I took Metformin for PCOS. It didn't make me bleed, it didn't help me at all. I came off it cos it was making me feel worse.

I've been diagnosed with PCOS for nearly 2 years now.

Can you message me on here? If you can then message me.
