If the says Smoked Ham does that mean its cooked already?

I bought an 11lb ham from R-N market and all it says is Smoked Ham. It has no other labels and the ham a brown skin so i dont know if the ham is cooked or not?

    Yes, hams are almost always pre cooked. From time to time you will find a "picnic" ham in the stores and they are usually not precooked.

    Ham is already "cured", so just needs to be heated up...but an 11lb ham will take a LONG time!

    If it says smoked you just have to heat it up. If it says fresh ham you have to cook it. Fresh ham is great. Its super juicy & has no Smokey flavor.

    Hams are usually always precooked.

    Ham almost always comes precooked. If it doesn't look like raw meat, it's not.

    Unless it says specifically on the package that it's pre-cooked, then you need to cook it.
