I've read their gift card policy and it doesn't say anything about returning it. In fact, it says gift cards aren't returnable.
Sorry for posting this twice, I forgot to add the second part. But yes, their policy states gift cards aren't returnable.

As soon as you return it the gift card becomes void. If it has already been used then you'll get your refund minus the 50$.

I couldn't tell you for sure and neither can the other guy unless he is an employee at Walmart... All I can say is its worth a try what do you have to lose?
