Okay, you know that line that blinks to show you exactly where your going to type next, how do you change the thickness of that?

You're talking about the cursor.
There isn't a whole lot you can do with the thickness, usually.
But if you change the font size (12 to 24, etc) the SIZE of the cursor will become bigger or smaller accordingly. Because of the change in size, it may appear to be slightly thicker or thinner.
