Don't go to places where there are a lot of extroverted people, noise, crowds. Just makes it worse.

You will do better in quiet settings--- small cafe, museum, small class, volunteer work, classical music performance, book reading at book store or library, etc.

It will be best to go to things you are interested in-- you will see other people there who like the same things and have a basis for beginning to chat together. Chatting together can lead to a coffee together, then a lunch, then dates and get-togethers.

Meet-Up, online, is a good way to meet people who share your interests and find out what events are going on in your community

The same way other people make friends. Mainly- just be friendly. That doesn't mean you have to be extremely outgoing- just that you need to be kind, reliable, and someone that will be there for people when they need you. Basically, to have a friend- you need to be a friend. Please watch this short animated clip about making friends. It is really great! Hope this helps!
