Why doesn't Microsoft make games like Midtown Madness or simulation titles anymore?
Dad and I recently looked at Microsoft's lineup after several years due to Dad getting a laptop just to see what they offered and most of the games are geared towards phones thus having to be dumbed down.
It's like everybody forgot Microsoft at one point made top quality AAA titles for PC's. I first discovered thru the Windows 98 bonus disc that had some demos and trailers.
Speaking of Win 98 do you think it had the most hidden bonuses of all the operating systems?

ahhh.. Midtown Madness!
My nephew basically learned to drive using that game. I kid you NOT! He was like 6 or 7 yrs. old and used to drive very carefully, observing all the street lights, speed limits, etc.
He knew a lot about driving and traffic laws..before he ever sat behind the wheel. hehehehehhe!
Not the purpose of the game - but how he learned to stop and yield and merge with traffic, etc. LOL!
I think my Dad STILL flies Flight Sim 10 to this day.
