Which championship team is better?

San Francisco Giants: three World Series wins five years. 2010, 2012, and 2014.

Boston Red Sox: three World Series wins in ten years. 2004, 2007, 2013.

Which team is better in your opinion?

For the Giants, it would be 2012 as it shows that they were for real and that 2010 isn't a fluke. 2010 is when their pitching staff peaked, I mean Lincecum would have one more good year after 2010 win before having a mysterious decline. Not to mention 2012 features Posey having his best year where he wins the NL MVP and Sandoval isn't shabby despite being injured.

For the Red Sox, I would go with 2007, they were all around better than the 2004 and 2013 teams. 2004 would make it close as they do have a much superior offense with Manny being in his prime and yes while the "Manny Ortez" tandem are juiced (making the Mitchell's Report suspicious), still, what team isn't juiced? The 2007 team had a better pitching staff and their bullpen had more depth which helps.

Between these two teams, I would give the nod to the Red Sox. I believe the 2012 Giants could beat the 2013 Red Sox but the other two Boston team would win however.

    That's what I believe.

Since player personnel on teams operated by sports franchises continually evolve, by default the better "team" would be the Giants - player turnover from 2010-2014 is much less than from 2004-2013.

Bruce Bochy was the field manager of all 3 Giants World Series teams. Red Sox field managers and coaches had a 100% change over the 10 seasons starting in 2004. David Ortiz remained (and still remains) as the only player from the 2004 Red Sox.

The Giants. It's the consistency that got them where they are. In the last 5 years they only missed the playoffs once I think. The guys that were on the 2010 team only got better. They won 2 more because of skill and experience.

i would have to say the giants. just because in the years after they won the first 2 championships they were still a solid team. with the red sox there were bigger gaps between the wins. look at the sox this year.

giants 2010. because it travelled in time into those future years...

    red sox 2004. same reason...

    Red Sox no doubt.

The Red Sox, because they are the Red Sox. Many will not understand.
