How long do I have to wait to get my teeth cleaned after getting all 4 wisdom teeth out?
I had my teeth out the day before Thanksgiving at the Oral Surgeon's office. I'm due for my regular cleaning this month, but wondering how long I need to wait after having all four partially impacted teeth removed? Thanks!

Suggest waiting five to six weeks from the 26 November extraction date before having the cleaning done to the other teeth in the mouth. This will give healing time for each of the extraction sites, and would allow any dissolving stitches time to complete their process. When you do have the cleaning done, be sure to advise the individual cleaning your teeth of the extractions you had in November.
If you have an insurance requirement to get the cleaning done before the end of 2014, see if the cleaning can be shifted to the last week of December, the 29th, 30th, or 31st. That would give you 4.5 weeks of healing time.
