Most of the converts to protestant fundamentals are ignorant of the history of the Catholic Church and bible.

Not sure why it's important that only ex-Catholic who become Fundamental protestants are the main focus.
Surely the question is whether the Catholic faith is true and correct or not, irrespective of who is saying it and what they know!

When it comes to Catholicism most folks, Protestant and even Catholics alike, have grave misunderstandings about the beliefs and practices of the Church and the Faith. Example: Catholics worship Mary and statues.

they just mouth slanders about the faith they heard from anti-Catholics but make no effort to verify them
