  • Is uninstalling a program the same as deleting one?

Well, again, my bad. So please, someone a lot more iTune savvy than I, please rescue me once more.

Here is the deal. I deleted something called "bonjour" thinking I had inadvertently signed up for an online language learning program that I really did not want. Turns out it is necessary for certain aspects of iTunes to work the way it is supposed to. I got a pop up telling me to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it afterwords. So before I do anymore damage I would appreciate knowing the following. (1) Is uninstalling a program the same as deleting it and sending to the recycle bin? (2) Will this process mess up my current iTunes library? (3) Once I do delete or uninstall iTunes, where do I go to get a new download and how will I get my current library back to normal? Thank you my friends.

  • Why is iTunes creating separate folders for some tracks of an audio book?

What can I do with iTunes when downloading an audio book containing several CDs when certain tracks are put into a separate folder? Here is the crazy part. It is not a simple matter of only certain CDs being imported into a separate folder due to discrepancies on their information tag. It’s just a few tracks from various CDs being imported into a separate folder yet their information tags are completely identical to all the other tracks of the other CDs? Any ideas? I am completely stumped and stressed.

  • How can I get all columns of an Excel spreadsheet to print on 1 page?

No matter what I do, when I go to "print preview" only 2 of the 3 columns that I need to print are visible on one page and the 3rd prints separately on a 2nd page. But that does not help me. I need all columns of the spreadsheet to print on a single page. HELP, please. I've tried reading a book and viewing various tutorials. Thanks.

  • Problem importing Bible CDs to iTunes?

I have the King James Version of the Bible on CDs (60 altogether) and I bought an iPod specifically so that I might transfer these CDs to the iPod for listening when I'm walking or working out at the gym the way some people listen to music. I downloaded iTunes from the Internet and started right in on getting the CD's into my PC via iTunes.

Things started off just peachy--- the first three CDs down loaded without a hitch, no problem. iTunes put each CD into a separate album. But starting with CD number 4, (Exodus chapters 4-20) something puzzling and frustrating started going on. Instead of putting CD #4 into a separate album it just continued adding to the 3rd album folder and so on and so forth with CD 5 (Exodus 20-36) CD 6 (Exodus 36-Leviticus 13) and CD 7(Leviticus 13-26). When I open album folder #3 it now contains all the tracks for CDs 3,4,5,6, and 7(Genesis 37 thru Leviticus 26). This includes 83 chapters of the Bible and totals 6.4 hours.

Completely baffled, I stopped the inputting process because iTunes is no longer making new album folders for each individual CD. Everything is being dumped into album folder #3-- I don't know how to get iTunes to resume recognizing the identity of each new (separate and different) CD that contains the different chapters and books of the Bible.

What did I do or what should I do so that iTunes recognizes each individual CD as separate and distinct from the preceding one and creates a new album folder the way it did for the first two CDs? Or should I delete the entire contents of the 3rd album folder and just try importing CD number 3 all over again and hope for the best?

  • Screen Saver Mystery when using Windows Media Player?

Here's my dilemma. I enjoy listening to talk radio via the Internet and my current vehicle for this is Windows Media Player. When involved in any other activity using my computer, after a few minutes of inactivity my screen saver kicks in like it is supposed to. But not so with Windows Media. It just stays lit all night long. I've even tried minimizing it, but to no avail. The screen saver will not kick in as long as I'm tuned into my radio station of choice. What is up with this? Is there anything I can do to activate screen saver while listening to the radio so that my computer is not functioning as a "night-light"? Otherwise, I am content with Windows Media Player. Thank you.

  • Do you know where this verse is in the Bible?

The particuler phrase I'm looking for goes something like this: the day will come when good will be called evil and evil will be called good.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me. I can't find it in my concise Strong's Concordance of the Bible because the editors decided that the word "good" is not one that the reader is likely to use in searching for particular passages in Scripture. I've also tried the various on-line concordances found at BibleGateway.com, but to no avail. Thanks.

  • Why was I penalized one point for logging on to Yahoo Answers today?

O.K., it's been a rough and strange day today. But to make it all the more weird, when I logged on to "Answers" just a few minutes ago, they took away one point instead of awarding me the customary one point for visiting the site. What is up with that?

  • Why won't my computer allow me to delete this bookmark?

I was looking up the word "prevail" on an Internet dictionary site and decided it would be nice to have easy access to this dictionary/Thesaurus, so I bookmarked it. The problem is that I bookmarked the definition of "prevail" and not the site itself. Everytime I try to delete this entry, and click the part were it asks if I'm sure I want to delete this source, I get a pop-up stating that the attempt to delete this particular bookmark has failed. It's so frustrating.

I've experimented and tried to delete other bookmarks, including this same dictionary site minus the word "prevail" and it is accomplished successfully. It's really starting to irk me. What on earth can I do to delete this bookmark [prevail-Synonyms from Thesaurus.com] that I mistakenly added?

  • Why are cassettes and cassette players outdated?

I don't care for CD's; I know they can hold a lot more music, but they're so unpredictable and it's like going back to the 45 rpm era. Why should I have to spend a lot of money to download everything onto MP3's and Ipods? Besides, I'm simply more than content to stay with the cassette tecnology as it was. Why can't I have this freedom of choice? For me, it doesn't get any better than cassettes. Besides being a "horse and buggy guy" in this "jet-age" world, I think I may be partial to casettes because most of my stuff is talk, like the Bible on tape. Am I the only one on planet earth who thinks like this? For now, I think I can still go to Walgreens to buy cassettes and players, but I worry that the time is fastly approaching when this will not be an option anymore. Already, I can't by books and poetry on tape at Barnes and Nobles or Borders. And what's next? Five years down the road, are we going to have to spend more hard-earned money to "upgrade" to something else?
