Which of the two offenders would you likely set free?

Offender 1 took out a heavy loan to purchase a car and eventually faced financial crisis. To avoid ruining his credit, he decided to rid the car by setting it on fire and dishonestly reported the car stolen. He was never caught for this felony.

Offender 2 went inside of a store and stole 3 eggs. Her reason was to feed her grandchildren.

    I would take pity on the grandmother who was just trying to feed her grandchildren.
