Can someone explain how a god powerful enough to part the Red Sea and save slaves could not protect 20 young children from a mad man?

    While you are at it, explain how a god powerful enough to part the Red Sea could not save his son from some Romans with sticks.

    I don't believe in the God of the OT, personally. The reason why God sometimes allows bad things to happen? Because we can't see God's full purpose or plan.

    Uh, God didn't protect slaves....It says in Exodus that God killed the first born sons of all the slaves in Egypt.

    God wasn't against slavery....he was against enslaving Jews.

    God's Lesson throughout the Bible: I love the Jews....everyone else can go **** themselves.
