1. Private consulting office.
Main road, amongst businesses.
2. Counsellor working from home office.
Main road, but amongst residential homes.
3. Counsellor comes to you.
In your own home.

I would and I have. 1 would be my preference.
I saw one once in a quasi residential area (houses that had been converted for business use), and, while part of it may have been her, it was a really uncomfortable space to be in. It might be better in a newer house or a nicer neighborhood (and with someone more competent). I would not at all be comfortable with a counselor coming to my home, unless it was someone I had an established relationship with for years--I've been burned too many times and I wouldn't want to associate that with my home. That said, I could see house calls as an add on option to a regular office--I could see myself in crisis and my therapist coming by to help talk me out of it, but it seems like asking a bit much.

Of course. Yes! I've done all three, but i prefer private practice, but it matters not where.
