Question about emerald jewelry?
My Mom gave me an emerald necklace from her Mother. Her mother received it from a boyfriend in the 40's who was a jeweler. I have the original box..it came in. Do I get an appraisal from a jeweler or someone else for insurance. Or does the insurance company do that?

A jeweler would be able to do it.
The insurance company could recommend someone but wouldn't actually do the appraisal.
