I can remember my password but I get a message that an email will be sent to my alternative addreess. Unfortunately that alternative address is not mine anymore, because I was hardly ever using it a guy is using that username. I'm not given an option to change my alternative contact or any other way of veryfing my account. That is I'm stuck and it really sucks !!!

Let's just face what we've all bee thinking. Yahoo is the antichrist. They don't give you any help, they don't understand (whether purposely or not) what you are writing/saying, they don't any time for you, they no @#$@#$ time for you, some of them are very rude. They have one @#$@#$ customer care number which is buys 24/7. And that's about the extent I can go before I've either band or assassinated by Yahoo (ps if Im not around here much that means they got to me :) )

Do you have a secondary email address? If not, create one. Whenever you forget your password, YA will send you, at your secondary email address, a link for changing your forgotten password. But I think, maybe, you could tell Yahoo your newer cell phone number, and they'll text you a code for it. That's what some servers do, anyway.

    Hi,

You should contact our account support team directly for assistance. Here's the place to do that:

    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/helpcentral

Click the link in the 'need help logging in?' banner at the top of the screen and follow the prompts to get support. They should be able to help you regain access to your account so long as you can verify it properly.

    Hope that helps!

Try logging in until it'll asked you to change password by security questions which happen to me after a month of trying. Believe me I tried calling yahoo customer service and been on hold for all day everyday that I called. They suck as hell.
