What kind of car meets these qualifications?
I'm looking for a used car with the following qualities:
1) Good MPG
2) Four door
3) Durable (known to last)
4) Younger than a 2005
5) Nothing more than $8,000
Even better if it has 4 wheel drive.
And I'd prefer an automatic but I'm willing to learn manual.
Thank you in advance!!!!

AWD cars have traditionally gotten poor mileage. Late model Subarus are getting in the low 30s (my wife's 2014 Imprezza gets about 32 most of the time). You won't find an AWD car that gets good mileage at your price point. On the other hand, what do you consider good mileage? If you've been driving an FWD truck getting 12 MPG, then 20 MPG would be good.
If you are willing to give up AWD, a Camry, Accord, Mazda 6, or an Altima might fill the bill. I've got a 2006 Accord coupe with a V-6 that gets 30 MPG all the time, but it's a 6 speed manual. I suspect the autos get about 28.
