    Yes, I have.

I was an agnostic/atheist until I was 33. Because I questioned those beliefs and investigated the concept of God I became a Christian.

Then I was a part of a congregation that caused me to reevaluate and question those basic beliefs again.

Today I am a Christian teacher fielding all types of questions that make me think through how to look at the world.

The bottom line is that theism is far superior to naturalism (which is atheism) both philosophically and scientifically in many faucets.

Yes, and it took me two years of solid study to thrash it out and to change my beliefs. I had been brought up to believe I was a Christian who really knew the Bible thoroughly. But in answer to prayer, God caused me to meet some Christians who showed me the need to double check that.

I re-read my Bible, no longer looking for proof-texts to back up what I had been told by others about God and Jesus. An amazing thing happened; I then saw in the Bible a Jesus I had been told was false! Not so! I discovered just who it was, dying on the cross for my sins. I changed several fundamental doctrines, left the group I'd been brought up with, and associated with mainstream Christians.

It was really hard to do but I just thank God He answered my prayer by getting me to doubt some of the things I'd been told by others. Since I made those changes I have become a Christian and I conclude that it was only the Holy Spirit opening my eyes that did it.

Which doctrine? There are lots. Some are mutually exclusive, like Trinity vs. Unity, or predestination vs. free will.

Many if not most "cradle Christians" experience some period of doubt and questioning somewhere in their teens to early 20s. I was more of a "cradle agnostic-solipsist" so I got all my questioning and doubting out of the way before I converted to Christianity.

No because before i became a baptized Jehovah Witnesses i fully understand what is was doing because we dont just go to the front of the Kingdom Hall and say we are saved we actually have a Bible Study where we can ask questions to make sure we fully understand Bible doctrines and any questions i had was always always proven by the scriptures. www.jw.org

Yes, but a world without a God did not make any sense to me. It was empty of meaning and purpose. When I returned to Christianity, I felt strengthened, like life's hardships were surmountable. Christianity is a win-win scenario. Most opponents do not understand it or fall to a straw man argument against fundamentalism, which most Christians are not.

When our little girl died our preacher (a Baptist) refused to do her funeral, he said, he'd never done a baby's funeral--I was furious--I asked if he "a man of God" could not have enough Christian faith how could I stay in his church?

I left and shortly there after--JW's came to my door and answered ALL of my questions and with the Bible which the preacher did never even offer consolation with ONE scripture. Jehovah's witnesses showed me--and I left the church and never looked back! Praise Jah, you people!

Ask any JW for a free home Bible study you will be amazed at how much you will learn!

"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of the one who was sent forth..." John 17:3

No. It took a long time for me to become Christian back then. I questioned the group I knew, found errors in their beliefs, left that group..no real hard feelings. Not that anyone told me! Found the bible true.

    yes, even Thomas doubted.

We don't always have all the facts, so it does take time

to gather information and gain accurate knowledge

John 17:3(NIV)3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know you,

the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Christian doctrine: follow an ancient book of superstition, but only follow the parts you like.

I question doctrine all the time. But never do I question my faith in god
