How do I control my anger?
There's always an anger inside which seems to just explode in my face when someone annoys me the slightest bit. I am under a lot of pressure and have been feeling quite down recently which maybe may have triggered it.
Please help with some methods to control it.

When your rage becomes a personal thing to use as a weapon, extreme anger only wants to hurt back. A little soul searching, exercises or meditation are helpful, but the real test is when the precipitating confrontations are taking place. Count to ten, bite your lip, breathe, remove yourself from the situation temporarily. It's not a matter of backing down. Not at all. It's about discussion, debate. Focus on the issue, but not the emotion.

I have had anger and extreme anxiety issues for 2 years. The most helpful things I have done is work out. I ran miles, took a baseball bat and beat the crap out of a tree, ran some more miles. I started taking yoga classes. I know that sounds girly, but man that helped along with beating the crap out of a tree with a baseball bat and running. Yoga is good for your physical flexibility and also a form of calming meditation. To be honest with you, therapy didn't help that much. It did help some, but they therapist could not get rid of the pressures in my life. Those pressures just made my life miserable. Aside from working out a lot, I really worked hard at trying to change my life to get away from those pressures. It was not easy, because my I was strapped. I did change things slowly to avoid those things that gave me stress. It took way longer than I wanted. I also took anti-anxiety medication. It helped some, but not a lot. A good therapist can give you some suggestions too. I paid many of them a lot of money to help me, but these are the things that worked for me.
My suggestion: play racquetball, run, swim, beat trees up. It not only helps you release the anger, you get in great shape doing it too:-) If you watch horror flicks (which I loved), switch to comedies. I know that may be hard, but it really does help to watch calming things on tv - no drama or torture shows.
Getting rid of my anger was a JOB. Trust me, not easy. I had to put some true energy into it. You many not like the idea of that, but nothing else worked for me.
Hope that helps my angry friend!

1- use Opposite Action responses to anger? Mad? ok, i'll write a thank you card
2- 20 min of intense cardio
3- using dopaminergic or endorphine producing chemicals, such as MDMA and oxycodone
4- use cold water, stretching or meditation to alleviate the norepinephrine coursing through your basil ganglia and prefrontal cortex
5- use amphetamines and have sex with your partner
Anger is a waste of energy. I turned that energy towards exercise and computer science and I wrote a great paper on foreign intelligence agencies taking aim at our porous firewalls 2 months ago. lo and behold, both china and iran have had success with cyber attacks. my article has been read 1,241,940 times

You are asking the WRONG PEOPLE!!! Go see a professional--a psychiatrist or psychologist, and consult him or her! When our body is sick, we see a medical doctor! When our MIND is sick and seems to be trying to kill us--or someone else, then get to the root of the problem! DON'T JUST TRY TO CONTROL IT! Find out what is CAUSING the anger! The "root" of the problem was no doubt "planted" back in your early childhood! Almost every community has a Mental Health Agency where a person can consult a psychologist or psychiatrist--and the fee is based upon ones ability to pay! I went through therapy years ago, and am so thankful! As I found the "root" of my rage and anger, "planted" back in my early childhood. You don't HAVE to use all your energy in CONTROLLING your anger! That does nothing by exhausts you and SOLVES NOTHING!

Simply let anger lead your brain then in a second think only positive of what you are angry off neglecting environment and then try to control your brain at that very time, this will not only let you free of anger but it do teach a way of ego.
example: Only BRAIN feel pain not SKIN.

Believe it or not, anger is a spirit. People possessed by this spirit gets angry even without a reason. This is almost a final stage. That means, the spirit has dominated well. First of all you must train your mind to believe that it's not you. Further you have to believe that it's an evil and obstacle which has possessed you for your own destruction. What will you do if a person often insists you to be angry with someone without a reason? You will get angry on the person to insists so. You must get this feeling and ask and command the spirit to quit. You must do this both orally and mentally.
Human beings are ruled by spirits but humans must learn to control and rule the spirits. All spirits (good and bad) have the dominating character. They can take you to the extent of sacrifice or suicide. Spirits possess people according to the mental state of the human beings and keep them in the same state until they are rejected and replaced by another. This is an all time phenomena occurring in all humans. Human beings are always under the influence of spirits. Often thinking and talking about bad subjects or bad imaginations even for fun can take serious turns on one who think and talk.
All of your activities, talks and even thoughts determine what kind of spirits you will have for your life. Generally spirits determine the destiny of the human beings from their daily activities, talks and thoughts too. All knowledge, skills, emotions, feelings, interests and everything are spirits. Even thoughts are not your own. When you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another they think and you just listen and choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. A human being during his/her lifetime is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. Human beings are just unprogrammed robots made of flesh, bones, tissues etc., by birth and toys of the spirits for their games.

Realize that you should not allow chemical impulse to cloud your judgement and reasoning. Don't resist anger when you're feeling it. There's this law of power in the universe that whatever you don't resists seems to just fade away.
