Can dry sex cause a yeat infection?

6 days ago my boyfriend and I had sex and the condom wasn't that well lubricated so it was dry.I didn't mind though. The next day I've experience itching on my inner labias.I read that tiny cuts from the friction can cause an itch?Is that true and if so how long until they heal?I also don't wear tight clothing, thongs, and I never use soap in my vagina.I use menstrual cups so it can't be from tampons or anything like that. And we've been using the same condoms for 6 months nowPlease anyone who has experience with this? Its uncomfortable and I don't want to treat it as a yeast infection if it isn't one.All answers are appreciated thankyou.I also can't go to a doctor.

It most likely is from the condom, I used to have the same problem with condoms so I had to switch to a very nice non irritating latex free brand (SKYN) and they do not cause cuts or skin pulling no mater how dry. I'm not sure what to use on the cuts honestly as I let mine heal naturally. However, if they are disabling you should be able to find cream at a local drug store or take Advil. Also don't wash out with soap or anything. If it's yeast, which I suffered from for months due to bc pills, you could have lumpy white odorless discharge, itching, burning, pain in thigs and on vulva, and can start by using over the counter monistat or generic brand that can range from 10 to 20 dollars. That usy does the job for yeast but medication pills could be needed. Good luck!
