is this a spider bite?

Question

Something bit me yesterday on my upper thigh. Its light red around the bite about the size of a quarter.   Its sort of hard to the touch and slightly painful when touched. The bite is more red than the surrounding area. 
Please help. Is this something nothing to worry about or should I go seek medical attention ASAP?

..most probably it's not a spider bite if you don't see two small red dots, maybe more a flea or bedbug bite or a stitch from a mosquito.  So I think you better get some alcohol on it as disinfection and soon you should be fine again..

Probably not, it sounds too severe for a common spider bite. They don't hurt to touch either.
What you have, may be a common skin abscess of sort, or possibly an insect bite.
