Atheists do not believe in gods. Evolution and the Big Bang are Theories not beliefs. You should use a dictionary once in a while or learn just a little about that which you question.

I've met atheists who don't, but not many. I'm not an atheist; I'm about as convinced a Christian as they come, and I believe in evolution and the Big Bang. Why not? They seem to be true, and they work beautifully with Christianity.

There may be a few who have slightly different ideas and undoubtedly there are atheists in some countries that have not heard of the big bang or a god so are simply atheists by default! But none can believe in a god or creation!

While technically you don't have to believe those things to be an atheist, such a vast majority do that you'll be hard pressed to find the ones that don't. Some do not, but I'd wager you'd have an easier time finding two Midwestern Heathens than one of those.

It isn't a "belief", but most atheists have at least a general knowledge of biological evolution as a well understood natural process, just as most theists do.

No Mr. President, because there is no evidence for evolutionism (like bacteria to bats) and understandably so since evolution never happened. Therefore even atheists are jumping off that sinking pseudoscience ship.

I'm sure the same is true with the big bang. There are a lot of problems with the theory that are ignored.

Evolution happened. This is not a belief system.

The Big Bang Theory happened. This is not a belief system.

If these two facts conflict with your superstitious beliefs, then it is your beliefs that are in error.

    Get over it.

    Definitely not.

    None of the atheists,

who are younger than age three,

believe in anything like those theories.

    No older atheists,

who understand the methods of science,

    believe in any theory,

in the religious sense of belief,

    as unsupported certainty.

Theories are not ideas to be believed in.

They are ideas to be tested against reality.
