What's the best food to bring on a share plate for a Pinic and/or Barbecue. Keep it simple and easy thanks, not much cooking or preperation if at all possible. i.e. Straight from the market to plate is best.

Potato salad, and a fruit meat and cheese plate, covers everyone who might be diet restricted and buy it right from the deli counter

If you want it straight from the market you should get a pre-made tray of cheese/fruit/crackers. or a vegetable tray. Can't get much more easier than that.

I know this is very unhealthy, but a bucket of KFC is always welcome at a picnic. Pick it up on the way, no prep, no washing dishes, no cleaning the kitchen and have you ever seen a bucket of KFC that had any chicken left at the end?
