The Vatican could feed an entire country, but what would happen after everyone ate?

I'm no supporter of religion - I think that building temples that no-one will live in is wasteful, and conning poor people to donate money to rich organizations or risk eternal punishment is a disgrace.

Having said that, the Catholic Church (and almost all religious organizations) gives loads to charity, and spends loads on education and health in places where the government has dropped the ball. The art collection in the Vatican Museum gets seen by millions annually, and the ticket price these people pay goes to the work the church does.

Not the biggest. No. Enough to be embarrassing especially if you can't explain understand the finances of a major university or a small country.

Rest assured that billions are given in charity around the world from Catholic organization. There is some charity at the Vatican, but that is not its main purpose. Please don't confuse the Vatican with the entire Catholic Church. That would be a mistake.

yeah but you are missing the point. People need to believe in power and wealth . That has held the focus for a long time. The truth is that the riches of the Vatican are not much compared to what is available and if dispersed would do little to solve the problems of the world. It is clear that throwing money at a problem does not fix it. This is evident by looking at history. Would you rather the church be poor and in shambles ? what purpose would that serve? You have an axe to grind and I suggest you get the facts straight and then find out just what your problem really is.

The Vatican is a museum and currently owes money to various organisations. The Catholic Church donates millions of dollars every year to help feed the poor. There is enough food in the world to feed the starving many times over. What happens to it ?

Well, it is a country, you did know that right? And they do as much charity in the world as any other wealthy organization, but it is a business. And why do people think countries and corporations should feed the masses. Except for extreme cases children and adults starve because there are too many people sitting around waiting for a handout and while they wait they make more babies.

The Catholic Church wrote the Bible and it is the beginning of, or mother of Christianity.

Also the Catholic Church wrote the Bible which is fabricated in many places. The story of Jesus in the Bible is different then the Quran because it's a copy of Mithraism.

The truth is that Muhammad is gods prophet, and the Koran is proof of that! And the Koran is proof that the bible version of Jesus is a fabricated story!

The bible is part pagan mythology and that's why it's different from the Koran version of the Jesus story where Jesus is not a god, or son of god, and he does not die on the cross for he sins of man like in pagan mythology of Mithra. The god of Constantine who want only 1 religion to help unify the roman empire!

I have no idea how much money the Vatican has. I hear about the accusation that they have a lot. But the way I see it, God prophesied a false church with riches and evil in it, so why not that one?

It is the biggest example of man's opinions added to scripture.

YES it is horrible, but within every human failure is greatness and Godliness.

I don't get how priests can deal with the opulence and the wealth and continue to function as a man of God.

But, I can't judge, that is up to God.
