Is discharge related to ovulating?
I haven't really had discharge since I started my period. My period tracker said I was supposed to ovulate yesterday on the 20th. The last couple days I've had a lot of discharge. In about 4 hours my underwear are covered in thick white discharge that dries to be almost powdery looking. Is this linked to ovulation?

Yes, here's why: during ovulation, your body wants to increase its chances of becoming pregnant. To help sperm move up your vagina, and into your cervix, your vagina produces a thick, slimy discharge so the sperm can swim through it and get to the egg faster. It's normal to have less discharge right before and after your period, but you should always have some because your vagina is self cleaning. Hope this helps,

Your vagina is self cleaning and discharge is the out come, you get a different kind of discharge during ovulation. You will have discharge your entire life although the older you get (50's on up) you will get less. I still get it even after menopause. So your vagina is still cleaning even when you get old. You only stop the ovulation discharge.
