Could a bullet hold an electric charge?
It s been a while since I was in a science class that might have been able to answer this question.
Basically, if a weapon was to be developed where the bullet would have an electrical charge running through it, would the bullet maintain the charge after being fired and separated from the source supplying the charge? Metal can conduct electricity, but I can t seem to find anything on whether or not it would be able to maintain the charge after being separated from the electricity source.
If this isn t possible, can someone explain how it might be made possible?

No. If it was separated from the power supply the current stops instantly. The bullet would have to have a battery or more likely a capacitor to be able to deliver any electricity to the target. I doubt any power source that could fit into a bullet could be strong enough to do any damage.

A bullet is a lousy capacitor. You could charge it slightly, but not much. Such a charged bullet wouldn't act any differently from a normal one. The total charge you could get on it would be too small to do anything.
