It's Xmas eve, 9am to 5pm, and I see all these people partying, eating, drinking, lying at the beach, doing no work. I know I was one of them! Why not make Xmas eve a holiday too?

If you live where the people are lying on the beach - you are already getting a holiday. It is snowing like - well I don't know what - BUT there is 6 inches of snow for Christmas Eve day, and snow all Christmas Day and no sun in the forecast until Sunday. I'm spending my Christmas Eve shovelling and if the blasted street plow comes by then I have to get out the snow blower. Curses upon anyone who sings "Dreaming of a White Christmas".
Anyway, you need to work so you can go out Boxing Day and buy all the good stuff that is now reduced and that no one got you for Christmas.
