A leader who used power for their personal needs?

I know there are a lot of leaders who were selfish and used power without thinking of the citizens but are there any who have changed because of power and used the power for themselves?

    Fidel Castro started out talking about holding new elections after the revolution.Soon,however,power went to his head and the elections disappeared forever.Then he began to get paranoid,and even imprisoned some of the people who helped put him in power.Originally,he was a lawyer who wanted to drive out corrupt

    American business influence over the Cuban government.He became a ruthless dictator,who helped his country in some ways,but never to the point of imposing on his power.
