Because Hitler was no longer a practicing Catholic. He wasn't going to Mass every Sunday and putting himself out there as a good Catholic, while killing Jews.

Excommunication is used to help a Catholic who is dissenting from Church teaching. They are expected to attend mass but not receive the Eucharist until they have repented and come to understand their errors. It is also used to make sure that the faithful are not misled by a wayward Catholic.

There was never any question that Hitler was no longer a Catholic, or that his actions in anyway could be misconstrued as the actions of a practicing Catholic.

Hitler was excommunicated by his own actions.

Hitler's ally Mussolini was the President of Italy not Vatican City State. But regardless Vatican City State was behind Axis lines. Pope Pius XII decided to do the same thing as Pope Benedict XV during WWI which the Vatican City State would be a neutral nation. Vatican City States is not only a nation but also the headquarters of the Catholic Church. So what exactly could Pope Pius XII really do with 500 Swiss Guards?

And of course being behind Axis lines Pope Pius XII had to be careful about what he would say before Hitler and how he treated Hitler being one wrong move and that is the end of Vatican City State and the headquarters for the Catholic Church. The thing you don't hear about is what Pope Pius XII really thought of Hitler and the things he done.

Pope Pius XII had issues with Hitler but couldn't do anything about them. For starters when the war broke out a treaty was signed between Hitler and Pope Pius XII in which Catholics would not be persecuted during the war but Hitler had violated that treaty many times during the war. Hitler was against political Catholicism and many Catholics were sent to concentration camps for their beliefs and died with the Jews.

Now you also never hear much about what Pope Pius XII had done like saving the lives of 10,000 Jews from the concentration camps in which he arranged to have them smuggled out of Europe. This is why when the war was over there was nothing bad said about Pope Pius XII or the Catholic Church.

    He was.

In February 1931, the Catholic bishops of Germany excommunicated any and all Catholics who joined the Nazi party, wore the uniform, or flew the swastika flag (including Adolph Hitler).

Although Hitler was raised in a Catholic family, he turned away from Christianity at an early age.

Automatic excommunication happens when Catholics commit certain offensives. This happens as soon as the offense is committed.

Adolf Hitler committed the following offenses resulting in automatic excommunication:

    - Apostasy - the formal renunciation of one's religion. Hitler specifically rejected the Catholic Church, as well as Christianity in general. He described himself as "a complete pagan.”

    - Heresy - a doctrine in theology, religion, philosophy, or politics at variance with those of the Catholic Church. Nazism is definitely heretical to Christianity.

    - A violent attack on the Pope or bishop - At Hitler orders, dozens of Catholic bishops (and hundreds of priests and millions of Catholics) were murdered. http://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/vie...

Even if Hitler was not already excommunicated, he would have excommunicated himself many times over.

He did it all for God!

Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord. - Adolf Hitler

My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter.

    - Adolf Hitler

As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people. - Adolf Hitler

The folkish-minded man, in particular, has the sacred duty, each in his own denomination, of making people stop just talking superficially of God's will, and actually fulfill God's will, and not let God's word be desecrated. For God's will gave men their form, their essence and their abilities. Anyone who destroys His work is declaring war on the Lord's creation, the divine will. - Adolf Hitler

Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith ...we need believing people. - Adolf Hitler

We were convinced that the people need and require this faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations; we have stamped it out. - Adolf Hitler

How come George W Bush was not excommunicated when he started FIVE wars in less than eight years stating each time that it was his "God Given Duty” and on September 16th 2001 even called it a Crusade!

Not his duty to the electors!

    Not his duty to America!

Just his duty to keep slaughtering heathens for his god!

Causing trillions of dollars of national debt that will take decades to repay and 46 MILLION Americans living below the poverty line

Yeah, at the time, he was exterminating 100 million Jews, and maybe they thought they might be next, if they didn't believe Jesus was the end of Jewish law, or something.

Maybe they wanted the Jews dead, or thought it was the only way for Germany to survive, or something.

The right facing swastika meant to Hitler anyway, I am God, because the left facing swastika means Buddhism, eternity, God is everything, the universe.

It's no coincidence he was teamed up with Japan, who were mostly Buddhist, but of course they were also the largest drug dealers in the world at the time, and taking drugs is against Buddhist beliefs.

Hitler was being shot up with methamphetamine and morphine, and was also drinking, taking sleeping pills, etc.

He funded the Bayer pharmaceutical company which first released heroin to the public, invented methadone, oxycodone, demerol, and also made the truckloads of methamphetamine that were given to all the Nazi soldiers, and all the Japanese soldiers as well, which made them into wired killing machines.

Many believed he was doing good by reducing the Jewish population. My EX mother-in-law thought of hitler as a hero and didn't think he should have been stopped. She talks about how peaceful it is to be a christian and jews are the source of all bad things. She even went so far as to strongly favor her kids that were blond haired and blue eyed. She so hates all non Lutheran religions, blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, Jews, native Americans and on and on. So many groups to blindly hate. BTW, the Protestant whore she is will never see her amazing great grandson who happens to be part Mexican and part Native American. Her loss. So in conclusion, if the Lutherans felt that strongly about hitlers work, the catholics were even more ecstatic to see their enemy being slaughtered.

I have a folder in my hard drive titled " Things I never learned n Catholic schools"..... I found it in there.

Because Hitler was doing what the church had tried to do for 2 millenia, kill anyong not saying their prayers in Latin. Hitler and the nazi's were agents of the church and the Vatican supported them through and after the war.
